How Much BOTOX® Do You Need?
Tiny amounts of highly purified botulinum toxin protein is used in BOTOX® to treat the appearance of both moderate-to-severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines. These lines and wrinkles are caused by repeated muscle contractions. When a small amount of BOTOX® is injected into the facial muscles, it temporarily suspends their ability to contract and crease the skin. Over time, the wrinkles, creases, and furrows of the face fade away.
This FDA approved product is used to block nerve activity in the muscles, causing temporary reduction in muscle activity. XEOMIN is often used between the eyebrows, frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. It differs from BOTOX® in that is has no additives, just botulinum toxin type A. The effects occur within one week and results last from three to six months. Many of our customers find this to be a more affordable BOTOX® alternative.
Similar to BOTOX® and DYSPORT is injected directly into the site of the wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. DYSPORT tends to diffuse more, causing it to spread out over a broader area after being injected which is beneficial when treating areas like a wide forehead. DYSPORT often takes effect within 1-2 days of treatment.
Our injectable treatments at Cascade are provided by Registered Nurses. All of our customers will have a brief physician consultation prior to their first treatment.
