At Cascade Medical Spa, we use a Cutera ProWave Laser for hair removal. This procedure has been fully developed over the years using an infra red light to target the cell of your hair follicles.
Why Choose Cascade for your laser hair removal needs?
At Cascade, our goal is to give you the long-term permanent results for your hair reduction needs. The 770 wave length of our Cutera ProWave laser is recognized as the most versatile technology because it emits mostly infrared light above 770nm that others lasers do not.
With the ProWave's unique output spectrum we are able shift the laser settings to optimize each individual treatment to cater to your particular needs.
How many treatments will I need?
Most patients require 3-10 visits. This is because only a fraction of the hairs are in the growing phase (anagen cycle). Only anagen hairs can be effectively removed with the laser because the hairs that are in the resting phase are not mature enough to target the laser light.
With our latest technology we can now treat any skin type and hair color excluding grey or white.
Is hair removal painful?
There is some discomfort that most people compare to the snapping of a warm rubber band on the skin which is mild and tolerable. We use cold ice packs to minimize the discomfort.
After the treatment, you will likely experience redness and/or mild swelling which normally dissipates after a couple hours. Makeup can be applied not long after the treatment.
Is laser hair removal safe?
There is always a risk of permanent scarring and pigmentation change with laser treatments. With the Cutera ProWave, there is a less than a .05% possibility of the laser leaving behind a permanent scar.
It is very rare that infections occur since the skin is usually not broken.
Cutera Pro Wave Opus laser can produce optimum results for hair removal.
