PRP Facial Rejuvenation Treatments
Facial rejuvenation in Portland is provided by our medical aesthetic providers at Cascade Medical Spa. We researched the latest PRP technology in great detail because we genuinely want to optimize our patients results. At the end of the day, we chose a PRP system and a Microneedling device to effectively rejuvenate and restore skin collagen at the cellular level. We also incorporate our medical grade skin care line that will work wonders to help you achieve your desired results.
We do not publicly share all the details of our methods for facial rejuvenation and we do not recommend treatments to everyone. We do not recommend treatments unless we feel you can achieve results. Your skin is our ultimate concern.
PRP for facial rejuvenation promotes local tissue growth and repair of damaged scar tissue by releasing growth factors, which then interact with the cells to stimulate cell reproduction. PRP also helps initiate new vascular supply in the skin tissue, which adds healthy color and evened skin tone. PRP increases the number of stem cells in the area of the damaged skin and produces more collagen. These benefits together are a great way to achieve the best results for complete facial rejuvenation. PRP treatments are considered by many to be the best facial treatment technology.
“I have had 2 procedures at Cascade Medical Spa, the latter being micro-needling. The space is inviting, extremely clean, and staff amazing. I highly recommend…Amanda is very personable and will help create a beauty plan for your face. I was looking for a new med spa and so glad I found it. Thanks Cascade!!”

PRP with Microneedling – 2 treatments from Amanda Nelson, RN.
“PRP Microneedling for Acne scars: I had an amazing experience! I emailed two spas and Cascade was quick to respond and very informative about procedure. I also let them know that I had a budget and they were willing to work with me. I had the procedure done on Sunday and let me tell you Amanda is amazing! She made me feel calm and I am extremely scared of needles, she had soothing calm music playing and even gave me a comfy blanket which made me feel at home. I brought my friend and boyfriend for support and Amanda was talkative which made the whole process fun and quick! She was also very informative and let me know what she was doing every step of the way! I would recommend this place to anyone! I have already recommended this place to about 4 people who saw the video I posted on instagram! Excited for my next two sessions!”

How does PRP work?
The penetration of needles in the skin creates microscopic channels into the dermal layer. Combining microneedling and your own growth factors (PRP) will then stimulate the body’s natural healing processes and regenerate collagen within the skin.
This procedure is minimally invasive. The very fine needles in the pen create micro-injury to the tissues of the face, neck, décolletage and even hands. This also removes discoloration and improves skin elasticity.
PRP is considered by many experts to be the greatest technological procedure for acne scarring, wrinkle reduction, hair loss and stretch mark reduction.
We offer free 30 minute consultations to determine if PRP will be right for you.
COLLECT BLOOD FROM PATIENT
About 2-4 vials of blood are drawn from the patient’s arm.
SEPERATE THE PLATELETS
A centrifuge is then used to separate plasma and platelets from the red blood cells.
We extract 3-6 ml of PRP. Then mixed with a special vitamin serum.
The patient’s face is numbed with a topical medicated cream to reduce pain from needling.
PRP is then spread onto the person’s face. The microneedling pen is used to push the PRP into the skin and glides freely and easily over skin tissue.
APPLY PRP WITH MICRONEEDLING PEN AND INJECTION
PRP is then pushed into the dermis using the microneedling pen. The remaining PRP can be injected into specific areas of the face that need the most improvement. In some cases, this step is done first.
Here are a couple of our treatment videos. Although the process may appear painful, most patients say it is only a mild discomfort.
